Peptide Therapy: Semaglutide
What is Semaglutide?
Semaglutide is a glucagon-like peptide (GLP-1) analog. GLP-1 is a hormone produced in the small intestine that stimulates insulin secretion and inhibits glucagon secretion, thereby lowering blood sugar. Studies show that semaglutide reduces appetite, improves control of eating, and reduces food cravings in addition to improving glycemic control.
Struggling to lose weight? Excess weight is largely a result of eating habits but with busy lifestyles, everyday stress and modern food supply; not to mention hormones and genetics, it seems we are set up to fail. Semaglutide helps control appetite and cravings, setting your patient up for success.
- Anecdotally, this peptide has been described by doctors as twice as effective as any prescription weight loss products on the market today, likening it to the equivalent of having gastric bypass surgery.
Semaglutide trial results showed overweight or obese adults receiving weekly semaglutide had a mean weight loss of 14.9% at 68 weeks. In this same study, nearly 70% of participants were able to achieve a 10% weight loss threshold by taking semaglutide. And 32% of participants lost at least 20% of their initial weight.

Types of Peptide Therapy
Ipamorelin Acetate is a Growth Hormone Releasing Peptide (GHRP) that stimulates the pituitary gland within the body to release natural growth hormone (GH). Ipamorelin Acetate is a pentapeptide composed of five amino acids and has a biological half-life of 2 hours after administration. It is widely known for being able to suppress somatostatin or growth inhibiting hormone. Learn More
A synthetically produced peptide, CJC 1295 was originally made to treat diseases, but has been discovered to have performance-enhancing effects that appeal to athletes. The peptide works by increasing protein synthesis and insulin-like growth factor levels. This process enables muscle tissue to grow, thereby increasing muscle mass and function. Learn More
Overall, BPC-157 helps alleviate joint pain, injuries, and those looking to improve joint mobility. It also increases vascular flow to the tendons and ligaments to increase healing. It can also help aid skin burns to heal at a faster rate and increase blood flow to damaged tissues. Learn More
Sermorelin is a peptide that helps your pituitary gland produce more HGH naturally. These injections can reverse or stop many issues that develop due to HGH deficiency. Sermorelin Acetate is a growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH) that stimulates the pituitary gland to produce and release HGH. Sermorelin Acetate mimics the effects of HGH, but tells the pituitary gland in the body to produce HGH naturally. This means that Sermorelin will have similar effects of HGH, but without the side effects and cost. Learn More
PT-141 was developed from the peptide Melanotan 2, which is a synthetically produced variant of a peptide hormone naturally produced in the body that stimulates melanogenesis that is known as alpha- Melanocyte stimulating hormone. PT-141 has been shown in studies to provide libido-enhancing effects by activating the melanocortin receptors MC1R and MC4R, without tanning the skin. Learn More
