Microblading / Nano Brows

Microblading is a form of a cosmetic semi-permanent makeup used to design a customized shape, look, and feel to your brows that complements your face and your personality.

What is Nano Brows?

Nano Brows is a form of a cosmetic semi-permanent makeup performed using, a mechanical tool, with disposable tips are composed with very fine needles, to hand draw each individual hair and simultaneously input the pigment into the skin.

How does the Nano Brow work?

Each new hair stroke that is drawn by a Biosymmetry Brow Artist, is meant to simulate the clients natural brow hair and seamlessly blend it with the client existing brows to add color and fullness resulting in a very natural look. The process we take with each client ensures that we design a customized shape, look, and feel that complements your face and your personality.

With our experienced Artists at Biosymmetry, the results will be beautiful and aesthetically pleasing.Typically clients will come in for their initial appointment, followed by a touch up approximately 6-8 weeks after. The touch up is to ensure you have even pigment throughout the shape of the brow and to make any needed adjustments.

Most clients choose to have a yearly or every other year touch up following their treatment to keep their brows looking fresh. Natural fading does occur over time.

Who can benefit from Nano Brows?

Microblading is an ideal solution for clients who have patchy, thin, or uneven eyebrows and are looking for the most natural looking results. However, not everyone is a candidate for nano brows and there are different elements to consider such as skin condition and health.

At Biosymmetry, we will always take our time to do a full consultation to ensure we have the best understanding of what your goals are to determine if you are a candidate for nano brows. During this consultation we will address any questions or concerns you may have, as well as map out how the brow will be shaped during your treatment. Adjustments can be made if necessary to ensure your satisfactory and desired result.

At Biosymmetry your nano brow appointment will take place in a comfortable and relaxing environment, where we will also numb the brow area for maximum comfort during your treatments.

Pre and Post care Instructions will be provided to each client during the initial consultation and at the time of the appointment on how to best care for your new brows.

Powder Brows

What is Powder Brows?

Also known as Ombre brows, are one of the most popular semi-permanent cosmetic procedures. Provides a softer, more natural yet defined look.

What To Expect

We first recommend a brief consultation to determine if you are good candidate for microblading and also to discuss your desired result. Then your initial microblading service may be scheduled. The process will take between 2 to 3 hours.

At your appointment, we will first apply a topical numbing cream to your eyebrow area for about 30 minutes. During this time, color will be selected together by the client and technician. After the skin has been numbed, your technician will do a “pre-drawing” to map out the shape for the brow. The client and technician will together agree upon the shape and fullness. Then the microblading process will begin.

A “touch up” service is required 6 weeks later for best results, and this appointment is included in the price of the microblading. The touch up will take about 90 minutes.

Does it Hurt?

This varies from person to person, depending on sensitivity of the client. Some clients may feel slight discomfort but most find the process tolerable, comparing the feeling to a paper cut or a rough scratch. After the first pass, an anesthetic gel will be applied to the skin which will allow for more comfort moving forward with the service.

What happens after the procedure?

  • Skin may be sensitive, red and/or slightly swollen.
  • You may experience some scabbing — DO NOT PICK THE SCABS as this can cause you to lose pigment.
  • Closely follow the after care instructions provided by your technician, as this will determine the success of the overall result
  • Initially the color may appear too dark, but the color will fade 30-50% over 4-6 weeks.
  • A “touch up” appointment is highly advised, and built into the service price, and may be performed 6 weeks after the initial service. This will also help determine the overall result.

Not ideal for:

  • Individuals with oily skin and large pores – pigment has a harder time retaining
  • Individuals with previous permanent makeup
  • Individuals who have used retinoids within the last 2 weeks
  • Individuals who have had deep chemical or laser peels within the last 6 weeks
  • Individuals who have had Botox within the last 2 weeks
  • Individuals on blood thinners – excess bleeding can cause the pigment to not retain (may receive a note from doctor to stop blood thinners for a period of time prior to service)

Depending on severity of medical condition, some individuals may still be able to have the procedure with a note from their doctor.

  • Individuals with diabetes type 1 or 2
  • Individuals with thyroid disease
  • Individuals with auto-immune diseases
  • Individuals with high risk of infection or slow healing time due to any medical condition
  • Individuals currently undergoing chemotherapy or radiation
  • If you are pregnant or nursing

MACHINE WORK is done using a digital machine that implants pigment through a needle moving hundreds of times per minute, stitching the pigment into the skin. The needle cartridge is loaded with pigment and the color is deposited as the needle stipples in and out of the skin, causing a minimal amount of trauma. Machine work is ideal for all clients with all types of skin, and it heals beautifully on everyone!
