Dr. Pate
The opening of BioSymmetry was the response of Dr. Chris Pate, MD after his patients repeatedly asked him for help. After earning medical degrees from North Carolina State and East Carolina University, Dr. Chris Pate, MD opened Western Wayne Medical Center to help patients in the Goldsboro area live a healthier and happier lifestyle. Dr. Pate also received his American Board certification in Family Practice. After gaining the trust of his patients over the years, he was consistently asked the same questions about weight loss and how to cure hormone imbalance. Dr. Pate was determined to understand the causes and solutions to these medical issues.
The Beginning of BioSymmetry
Dr. Chris Pate became American Board certified in Obesity Medicine and is a North American Menopause Society certified menopause specialist. After becoming certified, he opened BioSymmetry in 2010 in Goldsboro, NC. His successful practice led to Dr. Pate and his wife Shannon committing themselves to patients in the Goldsboro, NC area. Over 5,000 patients later, Dr. Chris Pate and BioSymmetry have been able to help people with weight loss challenges, hormone imbalances, thyroid optimization, menopause symptoms and many other services for women and men.
Brittany Gose
Nurse Practitioner
Brittany Gose is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner with a strong background in both primary care and aesthetic medicine.
With over five years of experience as a skilled Nurse Injector, she has developed a deep passion for helping patients look and feel their best through a personalized approach to wellness and aesthetics.
Now joining BioSymmetry, Brittany is excited to bring her expertise and patient – centered care to a team that shares her commitment to confidence, balance, and beauty.

Our Medical Weight Loss Program supports patients looking to lose a few pounds or achieve more significant weight loss goals. We also offer structured maintenance plans and targeted solutions for menopausal weight gain to support lasting, sustainable results.
For those looking to mitigate the effects of aging or menopause, Dr. Pate and his staff offer Bio-Identical Hormone Therapy for women and Bio-Identical Hormone Therapy for men to enhance energy levels and a sense of well-being.
For those looking to address concerns such as unwanted body hair, skin discoloration, texture, vein removal, or preventative anti-aging, we offer treatments using the Candela GentleMax Pro Plus, Nordlys, and Matrix Pro lasers.
For women looking to make their eyebrows pop, we offer a temporary tattoo technique called microblading.
Every patient is completely different and BioSymmetry will treat patients as separate individuals. That is why BioSymmetry offers full medical consultations to discuss the discerning factors between individuals including:
